The BB Gun!

Back tracking a bit. October opened dove season. We went to an all day dove shoot with the boys. Warren got his first BB gun for the big event. We had some target practice then headed to the field. Warren was so excited. We quickly had a little hunter on our hands. Dub only brought my gun so ...I got to shoot. I would "Knock them down" then Warren and Daddy would go find them and "finish them off." He really like the experience. Will had a blast too. He would tag along to retrieve the birds. He had no problem carrying them back to the truck. He tried to feed the dead birds sunflower seeds. I decided to pass the gun off to Dub when I turned around and Will had a dead bird dangling from his mouth! He had been carrying it and decided to place the birds head in his mouth so that he would have free hands for other things. That was tooo much for me. I passed off the gun and kicked into Mommy mode:)
The boys both helped to clean the birds. Warren can give you the full details on how to clean doves. He has it down. He even could do it himself. It was a great day of family fun. The pictures are all out of order but you will get the idea.
